Brennan’s Grin Books I Recommend!

So since this year is winding down and everyone is getting ready to travel, give gifts and settle down for some much needed quiet time, I thought that it would be fun to suggest some of my favorite books!  Whether you need a last minute gift or are looking for something to pass the time on your holiday vacay, a good book is always a good idea!

1) Watership Down by Richard Adams

I recently read this book and thought it was so unique and unlike anything I’ve read before! It was very good and I enjoyed it all the way until the end!

2) Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan

This was one I had heard so many good things about and I wasn’t disappointed. It takes you into the secret lives of some ridiculously rich families in Singapore and will give you perspective on annoying family get togethers *perf for the holiday season*!

3) All of the Jen Lancaster memoirs!

This woman is literally so funny I laugh out loud when I read her books! She knows how to make really bad situations completely hilarious and I will forever recommend her books, they can do no wrong!

4) Earth’s Children series by Jean M. Auel

This series is probably my favorite ever. I have to say though, I stopped after book 4 because that’s where the original series stopped. But The Clan of the Cave Bear, The Valley of Horses, The Mammoth Hunters and The Plains of Passage I 100% rocommend! The books are pretty long so save these for when you have plenty of time to read!

5) 1984 by George Orwell

This book is very unsettling but I think it’s an important read. It’s a good reminder to never give up your freedom. Big brother is watching…

6) Love, Nina by Nina Stibbe

I think anyone who reads this book will fall in love with it! It’s sarcastic, quick witted and totally hilarious! There is nothing to not love about it!

7) The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella

This is a very adorable quick read! It makes you feel happy while you’re reading it, and I love that in a book! Read this to add a little bit of brightness to a dull day of travel!

8) All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

This book was very good. It takes place during World War II and it’s one of those books that kind of touches you deep down. I really enjoyed most of it but the end kind of took a dark turn that I wasn’t expecting and didn’t love, but overall I do recommend it!

Let me know if you’ve read any of these or if you’re planning to soon, and also comment down below of any  books you recommend! I love learning about new books!
